Newport & Carisbrooke Heritage Society is a group formed with the aim of bringing together all of the enthusiasm for heritage and the preservation of Newport & Carisbrooke's rich history for generations to come.

Exhibition 4 - Mew Langton's Brewery
April-June 2024 - Mew Langton's Brewery
Based in the heart of Newport and supplying the Royal Household , Mew Langton's was a large employer for the island. Meeting a sad end due to suspected arson, the iconic Royal Brewery burnt down in the 1979.
Exhibition 5 - The Isle of Wight Festival

The rich history of the Island's world-famous festival was brought to 64 High St before it headed off the O2 in London.
Exhibition 6 - Newport 1st Scouts
Sept - Nov 2024 - Newport 1st Scouts
One of the oldest long-standing Scouts in the world, Newport 1st brought just a small collection from their archive which is held in a private museum.
Exhibition 7 - Britain From Above

The Society have purchased ten Images from the Britain From Above website featuring Newport & Carisbrooke in the 1930's and 1940's. These are enlarged and visitors enjoy pointing out buildings they recognise.
