Our Assets & Facilities Committee oversees and monitors the assets, facilities and services provided by the Community Council which currently but not exclusively, include the following:

  • Public Toilets
  • Open Spaces
  • Simeon Green
  • Clatterford Recreation Ground
  • Victoria Recreation Ground & Pavilion
  • Downside Recreation Ground
  • Nine Acres Recreation Ground
  • Vectis Field

The remit of the Committee includes items, land or buildings that the Council maintains or owns, for example maintenance of recreation grounds, play equipment, allotments and town planting.

Assets & Facilities Committee meetings take place every other month on the third Tuesday excluding August and December. Meetings are held at 64 High St, Newport and start at 6pm.
