"Shaping Newport" is a partnership between Newport & Carisbrooke Community Council, Newport Business Association, and the Isle of Wight Council which began with the joint commission of a place plan for Newport in 2017.
The place plan formed the basis for a shared action plan, which focussed on delivering across the three themes referred to as the "DNA" of Newport: "Destination", "Navigation" and "Association".
As we have all experienced some significant challenges and changes since the plan was created in 2017-18, the Shaping Newport partnership are asking for your opinion again now, to feed in to the action plan and set priorities for the future.
In order to help us understand how our communities view Newport, we would be extremely grateful if you could take part on our new Shaping Newport survey. Those who complete the survey will have the option to enter to win a £50 Wight Gift Card at the end too!
The summary results of this survey will be published and will help confirm the specific needs of Newport and the local community, as well as reflect the thoughts of residents in different parts of the island. As well as this short survey, there will be local workshops and focus groups held and these conversations will help us to understand more about what our residents want to see in place for the future.
